Batu Caves, Malaysia
Batu Caves.
Getting there by public transportation from KL Central is a pilgrimage in itself. After a train ride, 2 bus transfers, and a cross over by foot of some express way in KL, we arrive at the foot of Batu Caves. There is 272 steps more to reach the entrance. What are we doing here? Exactly everyone's question to me. The travel agent. hahaha!
It must be the name. Its must be the big gold statue. It must be the exercise of going up and down. Or it must be the sense of peace in our hearts that we travel far and wide and hike those steps to be closer to a higher being.
Am I going back? Probably not. But for those who haven't been there yet, I think you should.
Be careful with the monkeys and slippery steps though. On our way up we came across this old lady who fell many steps below. We heard she was brought directly to the hospital. We dont want that to happen to any of us. Right?!
