Maribago Bluewaters, Waterfront Lahug , STK in Cebu

My next trip to Cebu was with my sister and officemates . Thanks for Air Philippines Php 999/way (promo back then) with meals, the 4 of us were able to afford a trip to Queen City of the South. I already forgot the name of the hostel we stayed in but its near Waterfront Hotel. They went around Cebu for a city tour, I did not join anymore because I already know that they are going to Magellan's Cross, Taoist Temple etc. Basically a repeat performance of what I did the last time.

I joined the group for a hearty lunch in STK in Mactan. To summarize how sumptuous the meals are, each of us consumed 1 liter of coke to match the spicy squid adobo, fish sinigang, grilled fish and calamares. Its was a very long meal, around 3 - 4 hours shared with great company.

On our second day, we went to Maribago Bluewaters for a day tour. This resort is well maintained. The beach is not to my liking because the sands are really white and powdery but when you dip into the waters, its brown with tall weeds. We did not swim here because they have swimming pools that are far more inviting than the beach. A big plus for the resort is their Alegrado Island. Its an islet right in front of the resort. Shallow on one side and ocean deep on the other side. If you are a powerful swimmer, then you can swim to Alegrado, if not, the resort provides boat transfers to bring you there. You will see the passenger ships passing by, very nice view.

On the second night, we went to Waterfront Lahug Casino. It was noisy and the sound of the slot machine kept our adrenaline going. We ended up empty handed but hey, it was lots of fun. Then we went back to Manila the next day to work and work again.

What do I think about the places I visited this time ?
Maribago Bluewaters : not going back
STK : good food? anytime
Waterfront Lahug Casino : definitely coming back!
